Moving Today's Market
In the NBA, we get an intriguing match up between two surging Western Conference teams. The Nuggets have looked like a contender since trading Allen Iverson for Chauncey Billups. The presence of a true point guard has propelled the Nuggets to six wins in seven games with Billups, including three straight, for a 7-4 record. Denver's hot stretch has come at the expense of some weaker teams, as only one out of the six wins was against an opponent with a winning record. The Spurs have been dealing with injuries since the onset of the season, and they started the season 1-4. Since that start and losing point guard Tony Parker, San Antonio has climbed back to .500 at 5-5 with three straight wins. San Antonio has always fared well at home against the Nuggets, winning 30 of 36 meetings at home against the Nuggets. Denver opened as 1.5-point favorites at Pinnacle, and they are receiving 71% of spread bets. Despite this heavy public backing, the line has moved to San Antonio -1 at Pinnacle. The combination of betting percentages and line movement triggered a Smart Money play at our top-performing book for the NBA, BetOnline (20-11-1, +7 units).
